Redundancy

Dual-site deployment options.

SMARTNET can combine colocation locations for regional or geographic resilience, with routing and connectivity designed as part of the deployment.

STR001 + Frankfurt

The preferred regional design: core colocation in Stuttgart with network and interconnection infrastructure in Frankfurt.

FR5 + FR7

Low-latency Frankfurt metro redundancy across separate facilities and independent failure domains.

Germany + SV4

Geographic resilience between Europe and the US West Coast for control planes, DNS, backup and global services.

Why STR001?

STR001 combines large-scale power availability, carrier neutrality, strong physical security and fast access to remote hands. It gives new deployments more room to scale than a traditional interconnection-focused metro site.

Why keep Frankfurt?

Frankfurt remains important for direct carrier access, internet exchanges, cross-connects and low-latency interconnection. It complements STR001 rather than replacing the network footprint.

Security and access

Facilities use layered physical access control, CCTV monitoring, perimeter protection and on-site staff. Access procedures depend on the selected service and location.

Scaling beyond one rack

Power, uplinks, IP addressing and private interconnection can be expanded as the deployment grows. Larger STR001 configurations are designed individually.
