About SMARTNET
SMARTNET Germany GmbH provides IP Transit, colocation and DDoS protection for customers with their own servers and networks. We handle the connectivity and develop SmartMitigate ourselves, including custom filters for applications that need them.
Network and locations
Our network, AS203446, carries customer traffic through a combination of transit providers, internet exchanges and private peering. Juniper and Cisco equipment forms the core and edge, with redundant connections at both.
You can connect at Equinix FR5, FR7 and FR8, Colt or Cogent in Frankfurt. Metro fibre also connects Equinix FR4 and FR6. We offer IP Transit ports from 10G to 400G.
Colocation and hardware
Customers who need a home for their own equipment can take rack space at AtlasEdge STR001 in Böblingen, Equinix Frankfurt or Equinix SV4 in Sunnyvale. We accommodate individual servers, partial racks and private racks.
We normally install new colocation orders at STR001. Frankfurt is also available when access to carriers or other networks is part of the requirement. For dedicated servers, our hardware includes Supermicro and HPE systems.

SmartMitigate is developed by SMARTNET. Alongside eBPF/XDP packet filtering, it uses TCP and UDP authentication and checks the protocols used by services such as TeamSpeak, FiveM and Minecraft. We can develop additional filters when an application needs its own checks.
You can follow an attack in DELTA, inspect packet samples and adjust the rules for your services through SmartRules. The same information helps us investigate traffic that needs closer attention.
How SmartMitigate works
Network operations and support
Our NOC is the contact for routing faults, network incidents and changes to an existing connection. Network incidents are handled 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
